Julie and Julia Review
What are your thoughts about the movie?
I thought it was a good film. It has a good message and the role of Julia Childs is very entertaining. I just wish Julie and Julia would have met. I wish my mom could cook like that.
Would you recommend it?
Yes, go watch it. It is very entertaining and manages to stay interesting through out the entire movie. I'd give it 4 out of 5 stars.

Julia and Julia Reflection
#1 How are the
concepts you are currently learning about in class/school reflected in the
movie Julie & Julia?
The more work that you put into something the more that you will get out of it. Also it is being show that art comes in many different shapes and forms, such as cooking.
#2 Pick one of the
following career lesson we can learn from Julia and respond.
-Accept that doing
anything well requires hard work.
Julia wasn’t satisfied to take culinary classes or write
recipes off-the-cuff — her kitchen was her laboratory. While in culinary
school, she’d come home from class and spend hours working out the hows and
whys of what she’d learned that day. When writing recipes, she’d test every
ingredient and measurement, experimenting with mayonnaise until she was certain
no one could possibly have written more on the subject than she had. “I had
never taken anything so seriously in my life — husband and cat excepted —
and I could hardly bear to be away from the kitchen,” she wrote.
If you want to become the best at what you do you will need to commit a large portion of your time along with an open and creative mind in order to make advancements in your selected field. To become great you must also be willing to learn from others. Others may offer you bits of advice and tips that you may not previously have known and without the desire to learn, a brilliant idea or enhancing tip may be brushed aside. To become truly the best at something you must be willing to devote your life to it.

Q/A
What are your interests, hobbies, and/or passions?
A few of my hobbies include athletics such as high jumping and hurdling. I also like to skateboard and snowboard. I bowl a lot and play loads of basketball. I enjoy playing the bass guitar and being outdoors. Photography has always been an interest of mine. Video games aren't bad either.
Do you think that you have to have your life completely figured out by 30? Why or why not?
I believe you never have to have your life figured out. You could get married when you're 40 to someone you never met till you're 35 for all you know. You may get bored of your profession and decide to pursue another. If by age 30 you know everything you're going to do with you're life, what fun would that be?
If you had to do a "How to Speech" what could you do that would incorporate/reflect your interests, hobbies, and/or passions?
I may do an instructional video on the mechanics of a part of basketball. I could also teach someone how to play a song or two on the bass guitar.

I chose to imitate Andrey Permitin because i enjoy the way he captures the beauty of the city. I enjoy the use of his long shutter. I also would find it fun to be able to in and above a city to take photos.
For my project i plan to go into Milwaukee to try to take photos of the city. I need to find an area to capture the skyline. I hope to take the photos at night.
